The Mission Of The Housing Authority Of The City Of South Charleston, West Virginia is to provide safe, maintained, affordable housing and a suitable living environment for the families we serve. We will partner with our residents and others to enhance the quality of our community. The Housing Authority strives to operate in an efficient, ethical, and professional manner.

Applications are accepted Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1-3 PM.

Applicants are screened and must pass a criminal background check, credit check, prior rental history check, and meet admissions requirements regarding family composition and income limits.
A security deposit of $200 is required upon leasing a unit.
Pets are permitted upon approval of the housing authority based on the requirements in the Pet Policy. A pet fee of $250 is required.
Residents have a choice of paying no more than 30% of their total household income in rent, or they may elect to pay a flat rent.
